ABOUT US

SUNSET HILL GUNDOG ACADEMY AND PRESERVE

Sunset Hill Gundog Academy and Hunting Preserve is located in Northwest Tennessee, very close to Kentucky, Missouri and Arkansas. We are a family-owned business, that strives to meet the needs of all our clients, whether they are buying a puppy, started dog, bringing their dog for training or coming for a “old fashioned” hunt, through obedience, retriever and upland training suited to your dog’s needs. Our facility is equipped with indoor and outdoor kennels as well as large outdoor runs where dogs can exercise and play each day. We have one run for only the male dogs and one for the female dogs. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs, he/she will be able to enjoy outdoor time alone. Whatever your dog’s breed or your desired outcome, I hope that you will consider giving Sunset Hill a chance.

MARSHALL KEY

Marshall Key was born and raised in the heart of Northwest Tennessee, and Sunset Hill feels like home because it is. After earning degrees in Music Education and Performance from Austin Peay State University, and continuing graduate studies in Christian Education at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Marshall followed a calling that would take him — and his growing family — across the globe.

For years, he and his wife served overseas as church planters in North Africa and the Middle East. When they returned to the U.S., Marshall stepped into leadership roles as both a worship and discipleship pastor in Virginia, and as a coach and trainer for new church planters.

But no matter where life led, the fields and farms of Tennessee kept calling.

Now back on familiar ground, Marshall combines his love of the land, his heart for people, and a lifelong respect for working dogs and the outdoors. At Sunset Hill Gundog Academy and Hunting Preserve, he’s proud to help others train their dogs, experience the hunt, and create memories that last a lifetime.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 1995 and are the proud parents of five children and three grandsons.
